In ancient Roman times, the God Janus represented beginnings, endings, transitions, and duality.
His two faces represent looking forward and looking back in time. 
   The reference to Pop-culture also represents the passage of time in our lives. We all go through transitions in our lives, some more extreme than others. No judement here!
My Janus Michael stands 4.5"/11cm in height and 4.5"/11cm from nose to nose. The surface is ceramic pigments which are firesd into the clay. They are also glazed inside so this piece can be used as a bud vase.
