I saw Leon in concert which I think was one of his last.
This piece sports one of his trademarks-the white cowboy hat. I made this piece on the potter's wheel and then added clay to form his hat and beard. The glazes are my own formulas, except the shiney silver on his glasses, that's a white gold luster glaze. He stands 4.25"/11cm tall and his brim from front to back is 5.5"/14cm. He's glazed inside so he'll hold water so it can be used as a bud vase or how about your toothbrush!
