This piece is the first in a new type of clay as well as being fired in a wood kiln. This firing took place at the Peter's Valley Craft School's Anagama kiln. This special kiln is 60 feet long and requires several cords of wood over a 5 day period (24hr).
The results are more of an earthy appearance and the smoke, ash and fire affect the overall color and surface texture. These results can never been replicated.
This piece stands 4.25"/11cm tall.
