This was the very first in my series of insects. I feel it is a more stylized rendition of the Stag Beetle whereas my later insect pieces were more accurate as far as anatomically correctness.
  This beetle brooch is made of sterling silver and bronze. It measures 3.5" from the tips of the mandibles to the end of the hind legs.
  All the legs are articulated as well as the pinchers. This is a great piece and sure to get attention.
